Colonist.io is a strategy board game that is strongly inspired by the concept of settlement-building games. At the beginning of the game, you are a colonist who builds settlements, harvests resources, and expands on the dynamic map. It is an intuitive game, but every move you make may affect the whole game. You can play with the computer, your friends, and even players worldwide.

Management of resources is the main feature of Colonist.io. When the dice are thrown, any settlement or city located next to a tile with a corresponding number earns resources. One settlement earns one resource, whereas a city earns two resources. These resources help in expanding the board and creating a stronger foothold.
There are various ways through which the acquired resources may be utilized. The methods include building roads, settlements, and cities, purchasing development cards, trading the resources with other players or with the bank, as well as trading the development cards with the bank. The right timing in the process of constructing and saving can make a big difference during the game.
Development cards have several benefits when it comes to playing the game. For instance, knights give a chance to move the robber and acquire a card, whereas Road Building enables a player to build two roads. Year of Plenty allows for acquiring two selected resources, whereas Monopoly gives the player all cards of the same resource as his opponents. Lastly, Victory Point cards offer an alternative way to get points for the win.
Colonist.io offers bonus points for more than building settlements. A player who can build the Longest Road gets two points once he creates at least five interconnected roads. Similarly, Largest Army grants two points to the player who has used at least three Knight cards and who leads in total cards used.
The winner of the classic four-player game is the first player to achieve 10 victory points. Victory points can be gained by settlements, which score one point each. In case by cities, which are worth two points each, and even development cards.
