CaptainForever.io is a multiplayer game of spaceship building and fighting where engineering knowledge, along with flying abilities, are equally important. As opposed to other games, here you do not have a complete spaceship; you have to build it yourself from the modules and then pilot it in fights. Good engineering will help you out here, but you must have excellent piloting abilities as well.
Building a good ship with good flight abilities and being able to fight with others is the main task of the game. Move around the battlefield, fight enemy ships, and destroy their control module. You can use their pieces and add them to your own ship. Bad design of the ship makes even easy maneuvers hard.
Use mouse controls to build your spacecraft and make adjustments to your construction. Consider where you place your most important modules and how they will influence your maneuverability. No matter how strong your ship is, if it can’t turn, accelerate, or control itself in a fight, you’re done.
CaptainForever.io combines fights with drones controlled by the computer with those between other players. Drones are easy to distinguish through small red radar dishes on their ships, which drop modules upon being destroyed. However, the other players might be after the modules too.
Other players’ ships have a white logo on the command modules. Customized logos might convey all kinds of messages, from helpful and friendly medical symbols to menacing skulls. Once you destroy a ship belonging to another player, you become a pirate who has a red arrow pointing at you.
