Automeme IO is an amusing autobattler game that involves collecting memes, creating teams of them, and watching how your creation battles for survival. The number of people who can join one game is 10. Players do not need to wait to start, as the game starts once the lobby is filled or sufficient time has passed. Not only luck matters in winning; smart purchasing, hero placement, upgrades, and spending can determine the winner of the game.
Before the battles start, players take part in the prematch process and choose cards among the randomized ones. Cards pass from hand to hand until all players make their choice, then the planning process starts.
When players are ready, opponents will be paired, and they will have to drag hero cards to the blue zones of the board. It takes mana to use cards, while available mana increases turn by turn. Players should choose memes that will participate in the battle.
The store has three cards available at a time. They should be purchased by dragging cards into your deck, after which another set of cards becomes available. Moreover, there is an items store where players can equip heroes with useful items. Heroes’ stats and abilities can be viewed by players of Automeme IO before building their teams.
Three memes of the same kind can be merged into one card with a higher rank. Rank three is the maximum, and that makes upgrades very important for building a good team. Also, auctions occur periodically after several games, allowing players to buy already upgraded memes.
After both sides get ready, heroes of each side are placed on the battlefield and start fighting automatically. The winner receives coins, and the loser loses health points. In case of a draw, both participants suffer some damage.
If a player has a health level of 0 or lower, he will be eliminated, leaving him to watch the game. There is only one survivor after the fight, as the rest of the players eliminate each other in the game.
